Organizations across most industries are finding that survival with today’s pace of change requires adaptability. This session gives an overview of what adaptability looks like in L&D and its importance to sustainability, a competitive advantage and future readiness. We will focus on the essential skills related to adaptability and ways to develop them individually and with a team.


During this interactive remote event, participants will:

1. Define adaptability and its importance to talent development

2. Discuss examples of adaptability skills and what they look like in action

3. Discover ways to develop adaptability skills

Speaker Bio: As a people potential accelerator, Dr. Esther Jackson is an author, national speaker, and instructor. Currently, Esther works in the Detroit, MI area as a Project Manager and serves in a volunteer role as a National Advisor for Chapters with the Association for Talent Development (ATD).


She has presented at local and national conferences with ATD ICE, ATD Chapter Leaders Conference, Bamboo HR Virtual Summit, and Training Magazine Conference & Expo. Her presentation topics include adaptability, change management, DEI, emotional intelligence, instructional design/training, leadership development, and more.


Esther has a master’s degree in instructional technology and a doctoral degree in education. She published her first book, Adaptability in Talent Development, in 2021.
